2016 APLD Designer of the Year, Carrie Preston and Pacific NW permaculture expert, Marisha Auerbach will guide us through a workshop designed to alter our perspectives, improve our design skills, and expand our ecological knowledge. Become better designers who help clients take a new look at what a garden can be!
8:00-9:00 – Registration and attendee introductions
9:00-10:15 – Design Presentation, Carrie Preston
10:15-10:35 – break
10:35-11:50 – Permaculture Presentation, Marisha Auerbach
11:50-12:30 – Lunch & Team Assignments12:30-3:30 – Design Time (8 groups of 4 people each designing an average city lot)
3:30-5:00 – Pinup & Critique Session
Bring your favorite drawing tools and materials to sketch, accompanied by your good listening skills. This is going to be an excellent design workshop and charrette – don’t miss it!!
